Frequently Asked Questions About E-Bike Wholesale
With a lower price point and professional-quality products, buying electric bicycles at wholesale can provide you with access to the best equipment at an affordable cost. You can purchase directly from the source – no third parties, additional cost, or unclear supply lines.
Our comprehensive range of e-bikes available on wholesale include:
Folding e-bikes
City e-bikes
Mountain e-bikes
We are obsessed with quality. We want to make our e-bike better but at the same time keeping the e-bike at an affordable price to the consumer. It is important that the functions of the e-bike are in tune with long and short-distance biking. For example, we only use the best gearing components, braking systems, motors, and tires for a safe e-bike riding experience.
There are only two motor types one should consider when buying an E-bike. Both motor types are extremely reliable, energy efficient and will be the future for the E-Bike industry.
1) Rear Hub Drive Motors:
There are two types of rear hub drive motors;
Direct Drive: Best for high speed flat commutes, good for climbing most hills, not “steep” hills, excellent for exercise, transportation and fun.
Geared Hub: Best for carrying heavy loads and steep hills! But work well for all applications such as commuting, exercise and fun. This motor pedals quite efficiently if the battery runs out.
2) Mid Drive / Center Drive Motors:
Mid Drive / Center Drive Motors are the most efficient motors typically giving the longest range. They are excellent for all applications; hills, speed, distance, commuting, exercise and fun. These motors are lighter weight and have a much better center of gravity making for much better bike handling characteristics. The only drawback is that a Mid Drive / Center Drive Motor can be more expensive than a hub drive motor. But well worth the extra cost if you can afford it.
TORQUE: Measured in newton-meters (or Nm), torque is a rotational measurement of force—and the number to pay attention to when you want an idea of an e-bike motor’s output. More torque means more power off the line and more boost to your pedaling. The heavier the bike, the more torque it needs. Lighter road bikes typically have 30 to 40Nm of torque, trail and cargo models typically have at least 80Nm, and most commuter bikes fall somewhere in between.
WATT HOURS: The size of an e-bike’s battery is measured in watt-hours (or Wh), which represents the amount of energy stored in the battery and how many watts it can deliver each hour. The higher the number, the bigger the range, but the faster you go, the less range you get. So, if a 504Wh battery paired with a 500-watt motor gives you one hour of ride time at the highest assist, riding at about half that power will double your range.
Locking Battery: As electric bike options continue to expand, brands are integrating the batteries more seamlessly, which makes the bike look sleeker (and more like a real bike). Most batteries lock to the bike and come with a key that lets you unlock and remove it, which serves multiple useful purposes: You can remove the battery and charge it off the bike, and a locked battery deters (and hopefully prevents) a thief from stealing it, and an e-bike with the battery removed is safer for hauling on a bike rack and lighter for carrying up steps.
Wider Tires: Because e-bikes are capable of maintaining greater speeds for longer periods of time than standard bikes, you want extra control. Wider tires provide better traction and the freedom to leave the pavement with little penalty, and a suspension fork will help tame some of the rougher roads you might explore. Good disc brakes are a must, too, for slowing a heavy bike at high speed. This is not a place to skimp.
A term commonly used to describe modern carbon fiber electric bicycle frames, monocoque design effectively means the item handles its loads and forces through its single skin. In reality, true monocoque road bike frames are extremely rare, and the majority of what is seen in cycling only feature a monocoque front triangle, with the seatstays and chain stays produced separately and later bonded together. These, once built into a complete frame, are more correctly termed a semi-monocoque, or modular monocoque, structure. This the technique used by Allied Cycle Works, and is far and away the most common in the bicycle industry.
Regardless of whether the industry’s terminology is correct, typically the first steps see large sheets of pre-preg carbon cut into individual pieces, each of which are placed in a specific orientation within a mould. In the case of Allied Cycle Works, the specific choice of carbon, the layup, and orientation all go together in a ply manual, otherwise known as layup schedule. This specifically outlines exactly what pieces of pre-preg carbon go where within the mould. Think of it as a jigsaw puzzle, where every piece is numbered.
Carbon fibre frames are often perceived as being cheap and easy to manufacture, but the reality is that this layering process is extremely time-consuming and expensive. The way the plies lay on to another aids in how they unfurl into the [mould] when the resin viscosity drops. The easier they can slide and fill the tool, the better consolidation you get. Pre-form size is just ensuring that the plies don’t need to move a long way to get to their final shape.
Made to be model- and size-specific, the mould dictates the outside surface and shape of the frame. These moulds are typically machined of either steel or aluminium, built for repeated use and without variance.
Should you be wary when buying a carbon-frame electric bike? Do they last as long and are they as strong as aluminum frames? These are questions we hear all the time. The short answer is that both materials have their advantages and drawbacks.
The primary difference between carbon and aluminum comes down to weight and ride quality. Carbon frames are usually a bit lighter than aluminum - up to a pound for mountain frames.Carbon electricbike is vibrations being damped by carbon more so than aluminum. Torsional stiffness is often greater on carbon frames than aluminum frames, although carbon frames that are as stiff or stiffer than aluminum frames have less of a weight advantage. Finally, cost will always be a big consideration. Aluminum frames are almost always less expensive.
There's no such thing as 'better. Each material and construction has different advantages and disadvantages. The biggest advantage of carbon is that strength and flex characteristics can be manipulated by the layup and aren't as dependent on the characteristics of the material as it is with metals.
The more serious you become about cycling, the more you begin to notice that carbon electric mountain bike prices can go sky high — so high, in some cases, that they could compete with motorcycles and cars! It can be hard to determine a reasonable price range to aim for, let alone have a firm grasp of which bikes are actually worth their price tag. how much should one cost? Once you understand the different components and factors that go into bicycle design, manufacture, and sale, it’ll become much easier to find the best-performing, most affordable road bikes for your riding style and preferences.
The biggest factors that should determine carbon electric bike prices are the frame material and components used to create them.If you’re serious about biking and want a frame that will last for years of riding, we recommend investing in a carbon fiber model. While it is a more costly material, you can still find affordable carbon frame electric bikes that utilize carbon fiber Bicycles. We pride ourselves on creating the cheapest carbon fiber electric bike at an accessible price point so riders of every budget can have an optimal riding experience.

Electric Bicycle: The Ultimate Guide
An electric bicycle (full suspension e-bike, folding eBike, etc.) is a motorized bicycle with an integrated electric motor used to assist propulsion. Many kinds of e-bikes are available worldwide, but they generally fall into two broad categories: bikes that assist the rider's pedal-power (i.e. pedelecs) and bikes that add a throttle, integrating moped-style functionality. Both retain the ability to be pedaled by the rider and are therefore not electric motorcycles. E-bikes use rechargeable batteries and typically are motor-powered up to 25 to 32 km/h (16 to 20 mph). High-powered varieties can often travel more than 45 km/h (28 mph).
Carbon fiber folding electric bike use is growing in some markets, as they are seen as an eco-friendly and healthy alternative to cars, fossil fuel-powered mopeds and small motorcycles, and a less intense physically intense alternative to conventional bicycles.
Electric Bicycle Types
TYPE 1 E-Bike: Pedal Assist, is an electric bicycle on which you must pedal in order to use the motor. It's just like a conventional bicycle except that there's a motor that senses that you're pedaling and kicks in to aid the pedaling effort. It feels like you have the best tailwind of your life on a permanent basis. This class/type of E-bike may or may not have a throttle. (Pedal Assist, may or may not also have a throttle, Max. Speed 20mph, no need for a driver’s license, no age limit.)
TYPE 2 E-Bike: Throttle Only, is an e-bike equipped with a motor controlled by a throttle. On these electrics, you don't have to pedal to benefit from the motor. When you want power, just crank the throttle, and away you go. You'll be able to accelerate in the middle of a corner thus increasing traction. Of course, the less you pedal, the sooner you run out of juice in the battery. (Throttle Only, Max. Speed 20mph, no need for a driver’s license, no age limit.)
TYPE 3 E-Bike: Pedal Assist 28mph. this Class/Type is the fastest “legal” E-bike with a maximum speed of 28mph. Still considered a “bicycle” and does not require a driver’s license, license plate, etc. It’s legally considered a bicycle….. and man is it fun! By law, a helmet is required. Typically this category would be best for someone commuting on their bike. (Pedal Assist, may or may not also have a throttle, Max. Speed 28mph, no need for driver’s license, must be 17 or older, the helmet is required.)
Technical Of Electric Bicycle
Motors and drivetrains
The two most common types of motors used in electric bicycles are brushed and brushless. Many configurations are available, varying in cost and complexity; direct-drive and geared motor units are both used. An electric power-assist system may be added to almost any pedal cycle using a chain drive, belt drive, hub motor or friction drive. Brushless hub motors are the most common in modern designs. The motor is built into the wheel hub itself, while the stator is fixed solidly to the axle, and the magnets are attached to and rotating with the wheel. The bicycle wheel hub is the motor. The power levels of motors used are influenced by available legal categories and are often, but not always limited to under 750 watts.
Another type of electric assist motor, often referred to as the mid-drive system, is increasing in popularity. With this system, the electric motor is not built into the wheel but is usually mounted near (often under) the bottom bracket shell. In more typical configurations, a cog or wheel on the motor drives a belt or chain that engages with a pulley or sprocket fixed to one of the arms of the bicycle's crankset. Thus, the propulsion is provided at the pedals rather than at the wheel, being eventually applied to the wheel via the bicycle's standard drive train.
Because the power is applied through the chain and sprocket, power is typically limited to around 250–500 watts to protect against fast wear on the drivetrain. An electric mid-drive combined with an internal gear hub at the back hub may require care due to the lack of a clutch mechanism to soften the shock to the gears at the moment of re-engagement. A continuously variable transmission or a fully automatic internal gear hub may reduce the shocks due to the viscosity of oils used for liquid coupling instead of the mechanical couplings of the conventional internal gear hubs.
The main advantage mid-drive motors have over hub motors is that power is applied through the chain (or belt) and thus it utilizes the existing rear gears (either external or internal). This allows for the motor to operate more efficiently at a wider range of vehicle speeds. Without utilizing the bicycle's gears, equivalent hub motors tend to be less effective in propelling the e-bike slowly up steep hills and also propelling the e-bike fast on the flat.
Batteries
E-bikes use rechargeable batteries in addition to electric motors and some form of control. Battery systems in use include sealed lead–acid (SLA), nickel-cadmium (NiCad), nickel–metal hydride (NiMH), or lithium-ion polymer (Li-ion). Batteries vary according to the voltage, total charge capacity (amp hours), weight, the number of charging cycles before performance degrades, and ability to handle over-voltage charging conditions. The energy costs of operating e-bikes are small, but there can be considerable battery replacement costs. The lifespan of a battery pack varies depending on the type of usage. Shallow discharge/recharge cycles will help extend the overall battery life.
The range is a key consideration with e-bikes and is affected by factors such as motor efficiency, battery capacity, the efficiency of the driving electronics, aerodynamics, hills, and weight of the bike and rider. Some manufacturers, such as the Canadian BionX or American Vintage Electric Bikes,[48] have the option of using regenerative braking, the motor acts as a generator to slow the bike down prior to the brake pads engaging. This is useful for extending the range and the life of brake pads and wheel rims. There are also experiments using fuel cells. e.g. the PHB. Some experiments have also been undertaken with supercapacitors to supplement or replace batteries for cars and some SUVS. E-bikes developed in Switzerland in the late 1980s for the Tour de Sol solar vehicle race came with solar charging stations but these were later fixed on roofs and connected so as to feed into the electric mains. The bicycles were then charged from the mains, as is common today. While e-bike batteries were produced mainly by bigger companies in past, many small to medium companies have started using innovative new methods for creating more durable batteries. State-of-the-art, custom-built automated precision CNC spot welding machines[51] created 18650 battery packs are commonly used among do-it-yourself e-bike makers.(by:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_bicycle)
Electric Bicycle Vs Motorcycle
With electric bikes, you pedal just like a traditional push bike, and then the electric motor provides you with assistance. With motorcycles, there's no pedaling involved, and all movement is controlled by the throttle.
Electric Bicycle Vs Scooter
If you need a reliable commute to work, an e-bike is your best bet. Due to their larger battery, higher power and comfort, e-bikes are able to go the distance. In contrast, electric scooters tend to have smaller batteries and their lack of seating means riders can quickly get tired.

How Does An Electric Bicycle Work?
Generally speaking, e-bikes are bicycles with a battery-powered “assist” that comes via pedaling and, in some cases, a throttle. When you push the pedals on a pedal-assist e-bike, a small motor engages and gives you a boost, so you can zip up hills and cruise over tough terrain without gassing yourself.
Electric Bicycle Range
Electric bikes have a riding range between 40-100 miles depending on a variety of factors including battery size, average speed, terrain, rider weight, and more. With a smaller 48V or 36V battery, the typical range will only be 15-35 miles per charge. That's a considerable difference.
Electric Bicycle Speed
Most e-bikes stop providing electric assist while pedaling up to 20 mph and 28 mph.
Electric Bicycle Laws
Many countries have enacted electric bicycle laws to regulate the use of electric bicycles. Countries such as the United States and Canada have federal regulations governing the safety requirements and standards of manufacture. Other countries like the signatories of the European Union have agreed to wider-ranging legislation covering use and safety.
However, laws and terminology are diverse. Some countries have national regulations but leave the legality of road use for states and provinces to decide. Municipal laws and restrictions add further complications. Systems of classification and nomenclature also vary. Jurisdictions may address "power-assisted bicycle" (Canada) or "electric pedal-assisted cycles" (European Union and United Kingdom) or simply "electric bicycles". Some classify pedelecs as distinct from other bikes using electric power. Thus, the same hardware may be subject to many different classifications and regulations.
